Newfoundland and Labrador is the easternmost province of Canada. It consists of 2 landmasses; the island of Newfoundland and Labrador connected to the mainland. In the recent years, this province has developed as a powerful economy in Canada. The province of Newfoundland and Labrador has initiated its own provincial program known as the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial nominee program (NLPNP).
Candidates who wish to migrate to Canada and settle in the province can choose NLPNP. International graduates, eligible foreign skilled workers and trained professionals can get nominations subsequent to which they can apply for their PR through this stream.
Skilled workers with valid job employment letter or guaranteed job offer from employers of Newfoundland and Labrador can migrate under the Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker category. Candidates selected by the NLPNP will be given additional points under the CRS system. This can lead to ITA (invitation to apply) after which one can apply for their Canadian PR.
International graduate students can also choose to migrate under the International Graduate Category of the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial nominee program. Students who have recently graduated from Canadian post secondary institutions and working in the same field as that of study are eligible under this category.
Another category under NLPNP is the International Entrepreneur category. This category selects foreign nationals who wish to own and run a business in Newfoundland and Labrador and settle in the province. Candidates should run a business for a minimum of 1 year on a Temporary Work Permit after which they can be eligible under this category and receive a provincial nomination.
The international students who have graduated from institutions of Newfoundland and Labrador and wish to own a business can select the International Graduate Entrepreneur Category under NLPNP. Eligible candidates can apply for their Canadian PR.
